We held out 1st Lean Coffee among local gov’t IT managers last week – A HUGE success. No one had ever been in a meeting like that before. Usually these gov’t IT manager meetings are unorganized and disjointed (many conversations going on at once). The Lean Coffee technique had everyone engaged and focused. Beautiful.

Since it was my first time to participate in a Lean Coffee, how do you handle ties? We brainstormed topics that we wanted to talk about and dot voted. We had a clear winner. However, we had several topics that had the same vote. We ended up putting them in alphabetic order and it worked out OK. How should we have handled it?
